Presentation Design

It may seem that one shows his age by recalling pastimes of 35 mm slides or overhead transparencies, but the truth is that such presentation methods were the standard technology as recent as ten to fifteen years ago. When digital projection was gaining popularity, color video projectors were still thousands of dollars and often larger than a suitecase.

But now, we have so many methods of digital presentation that almost anyone with a computer has access to an LCD projector, which, in most cases, is wielded as a weapon of mass destruction. “Death by PowerPoint” as many presentation professionals have called it.

Although the convenience of the technology has given everyone the power to make their own presentations, it is a power that can easily be abused, and quite unintentionally. The presenter himself may be of no direct fault, but the fact remains that most presentations, digital or otherwise, are quite boring.

Through my own private background in successful presentations since high school, and then my extensive work for Answers in Genesis’ Presentation Team, I have developed many presentation theories, methodologies, psychologies, and tools that have proven to make even "boring" presentations come alive and excite audiences.

That is what you want to do. Whether you are presenting using a computer and digital project, or using flipcharts or posterboard, whatever you say visually must compliment what you say audibly. Presentation is half of the message. And when someone's visual presentation is of poor quality, their audience will usually tune out of the rest of their presentation.

To remedy this, I would like D.Joseph Design to be a forerunner of presentation imagery and technolgy, and I want you to be the leading competitor in your field by the professionalism of your presentations.

In addition to the presentation design services that I offer, I am planning a new website that will eventually contain many free presentation resources to help you, as a presenter, better communicate your message.
