Is this what the Pilgrims envisioned?

Boone County Public Library (BCPL) is stepping into the twenty-first century by finally offering digital media over the internet. I wrote this review for BCPL. Although written for a specific public library network, the review can easily apply to most other public libraries, especially since they use the same NetLibrary service.

Many of us may are familiar with FreePay (formerly Gratis Marketing). And many of us probably even got a free iPod or other geeky toy for free from them. But their website went offline for "upgrades." Are these actually good upgrades, or could this mark the end of getting free things fairly easily?
