Welcome to the New DJosephDesign.com!

I am so pleased to finally launch the new website for D.Joseph Design! The last version of my site was what we could call "statically dynamic" pages that used PHP includes and customized PHP scripts to dynamically render each page. The site also employed WordPress as the blog system.

I love WordPress for it's simplicity and yet it's power. But I knew that I needed a much more robust content management system (CMS), and I felt combining CMSes would be sloppy and create more work than it was worth. After a lot of research, I made the same decision as Packt Publishing that Drupal would be the best solution for me because of it's vast power and extendability.

The road to completion involved more than twenty-five additional drupal modules, which meant testing more than twice that many modules to find just the right functionality.

This was more than a simple facelift and CMS switch. Aside from the blog archive, I rewrote every single page of my site, and introduced new web hosting options (which I will detail later).

The RSS subscription has also been adjusted so that subscribers can now receive not only my latest blog posts, but see when I add new items to my portfolio (hence the sudden onslaught of portfolio entries to current subscribers).

Please take a look around and I'd love to hear your feedback!
