PowerPoint Death Is Postponed

Today were the anxiously awaited meetings to discuss the new PowerPoint management and distribution. We all came to some agreements, and I’m excited about the future ahead. All presentations are finally now handled by the department that makes them, Presentation Team. I and my immediate supervisor are still working on plans and ideas, but we’ve got a good grasp on things now. Effectively immediately, I am now the liason between Presentation Team (which is just me and Crystal) and AiG’s USA-based creation speakers. I wanted this responsibility for several reasons; one of them simply being that I want to personal get to know our speakers better, and this will open that opportunity. Dave did a great job for quite some time now, and I don’t want anything that I say to diminish his legacy or degrade his performance. Now that all presentations are managed by us, I think that we can take things to the next level. Immediately noticable in our next presentations update CD-ROM will be an auto-loading interface that will clearly and attractively show speakers where to go and what to do with the CD-ROM. In the future, I’d like to enhance this with Flash animations and video tutorials. Also in the planning is a special Presentations website for our speakers to visit and grab the latest presentation images and special resources tutorials. It will be a lot more stress and pressure, but I’m still excited about what the future holds.
