Well I'm glad there are still

Well I'm glad there are still people out there that are searching out these things!!! After all if we didnt know how old the earth was how would we be able to tell what year it was ;-) God Bless, Eleazar

Wow, I thought that I held to

Wow, I thought that I held to the idea of an earth that appears old (10-15,000 yrs) but not like that. I believe that the Bible is entirely accurate, but that there are some things that appear to be older than they are, sort of. Think of it this way: If you asked God to create a tree and then you cut down the tree, would it have rings? Of course it would, because if it didn't then it wouldn't be a tree. The biggest thing that convinces me that the earth is not millenia old is the sun. Assuming that the sun has been expanding no slower than it is now, if the earth were billions of years old, then the sun was the size of a marble only 10- 15,000 years ago. So the only way that the evolutionary theory could be correct, is if the sun started expanding faster as it aged, which just doesn't make sense. Anyhow, great post, keep 'em coming ;-) God Bless, Matthew <><

[...] I spoke on “Fossils and the Flood,” which my dad said was my best talk yet. I kept things on a basic level of science, and kept things practical as I explained what the Bible says about the global flood of Noah’s day, addressed several compromised positions (including Bill Gothard’s “appearance of age” argument), and then explained how the fossil record and rock layers actually confirms the Bible’s history, as we would expect. I closed by reminding everyone to write a question that they would have on some pieces of paper and I would address them at the end of the next session. [...]
