DJosephDesign.com
After nearly six months, three alpha designs, and hundreds of hours of planning and preparation, I finally completed this fully redesigned website. My goal in its recreation was—besides obviously replacing my three-year-old site that was uglier to me by the minute—to produce a faster, more-attractive, more-intelligent, and more-enjoyable website. I feel that, by reconstructing DJosephDesign.com from the source code up, I have accomplished this.
My pages use PHP, Javscript, XHTML, CSS, and QuickTime technologies to deliver the experience. In creating this site, I used Photoshop CS2, Dreamweaver MX 2004, and QuickTime 6 Pro.
I went through extra effort to ensure that each page is fully CSS- and XHTML-validated, and that they work on the popular internet browsers on both major PC platforms (Windows and Mac). And by using standard CSS, the entire site loads much faster than before.
The most exciting parts to me are the header and portfolio. As you have probably noticed by now, the header randomly rotates with every page load to not only give a fresh feel to every page, but to also promote my work by attracting visitors to my portfolio. My digital design portfolio took the most work to accomplish what I wanted, but I was quite pleased with it and am still working to make the experience even better.
Look around, view my portfolio, read my articles and blog, post comments, and let me know what you think. And thank you very much for visiting!
